Begin your 3-hour Grand City Tour of Budapest with a journey past some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. The tour starts by admiring the magnificent Hungarian Parliament Building from your coach, followed by a scenic crossing of the Danube River via the Margaret Bridge. Continue to the historic Royal Castle area on the Buda side, where a short guided walk takes you to the panoramic terraces of Fisherman’s Bastion and the exterior of Matthias Church. These landmarks offer stunning views of the city and the river, providing perfect photo opportunities and a glimpse into Budapest’s rich architectural heritage.

The tour then ascends Gellért Hill, where you can pause for photos and soak in panoramic vistas of Budapest’s skyline. Afterward, the coach takes you across the Elizabeth Bridge and along the grand Andrássy Avenue to reach Heroes’ Square, a monumental site honoring Hungary’s historical figures. On the return journey, pass notable landmarks such as the Hungarian State Opera House and St. Stephen’s Basilica before concluding the tour at the Intercontinental Hotel. This comprehensive sightseeing experience combines city views, historical landmarks, and cultural insights, offering an excellent introduction to Budapest in just a few hours.

We only did the boat cruise. Long queue to get on, and there was no commentary and no bar. Cost effective way to see the city from the river without frills. 45-50min cruise so was perfect length for kids. Ticket allows you to use anytime which was handy.

I read so many negative reviews but fortunately we did not face any such problem. We took a day ticket and started from Danube river stop. This red line has got 28 stops and it takes 150 minutes to complete one round. Red and green lines have got audio guide in 16 languages. Beside this they have purple/pink line with 16 stops and yellow line with 10 stops. Last 2 lines have only English audio guide. Hop-On-Hop-Off is the best and cheapest option to see Budapest !!

The ceilings on the top decks are too low and people were constantly banging their heads in it, ridiculous. Other than that, friendly staff and good tour around the city. When you hop off on heroes square you have a free lemonade included on your ticket at the Városliget Cafe&Restaurant, don't miss that chance to get it, we've had a lovely experience there. So with you ticket you also have included a boat trip on Danube river which you can do anytime you like on dock 10 if I am not mistaken is every hour. We've got tickets for 72 hrs and if get less than that it's just not enough to see it all. Only Buda Castle districts takes pretty much a whole day.

Fantastic tour option for Budapest! I highly recommend the combo bus and boat and castle tours. You get the most incredible convenience for the best pictures, stops everywhere and makes it so you can see the whole city in 48hrs. I'm especially thankful for Anna on bus 448. She was so helpful and friendly and gave great advice on what to see and do. If Anna came to the United States, I'd hire her for my company right away as her customer service is fantastic!
