All of us tend to focus on the large museums in the metropolitan centers. While you should absolutely see these museums, please do not do this at the expense of ignoring the fantastic museums outside of these areas. The Archaeological Museum of Piraeus is a perfect example of this. This museum is amazing and should not be missed. Please look at the pictures we took at this museum and reach your own conclusion.

What an amazing museum! I don't think this is visited anywhere near enough as it should be. Incredible collection of artifacts found locally. The grave stele are amazing, but the key pieces of this museum are the bronze statues, they are good enough to be in any museum in the world, incredible! We had the place to ourselves and it was fantastic!

If you are enthusiast of greek history, you will definitely enjoy it. Statues, pieces of marbel, little pieces, there is also some site outside. It's really like any other greek museum lol For me it's like my Wife said "if you have seen one, you have seen them all". Thats why you need to be enthusiast.

There is a huge variety of artifacts featured in the museum, esprcially those found in the area of Piraeus. Must-see are the bronze statues of Athena and Artemis in the second floor of the museum and focus on the eyes of the statues--they'rw impressively realistic.

A must-visit if you like history or Greek mythology. There's two floors filled with art and also a space outside in the sun with more of it. Beware, the ticket is not 4€, no matter what Maps says.
