Tbilisi is a city where romance and history blend effortlessly across winding streets and scenic hills. With a knowledgeable local guide, you begin your journey at Avlabari Metro Station and stroll toward Metekhi Church, a place that reflects the deep spiritual roots of Georgia. Nearby stands the Monument of Vakhtang Gorgasali, honoring the city founder and offering sweeping views of the river below. As you walk through the charming lanes, the vibrant Shardeni Street reveals lively cafes and an open air market filled with local crafts. Historic treasures like Sioni Church and Anchiskhati Church showcase the rich architectural and religious heritage of the city.
The journey continues past the whimsical Clock Tower of the Puppet Theater and across the modern Bridge of Peace toward Rike Park. From here, a cable car ride carries you to the towering Mother of Georgia, symbolizing the spirit of the nation. Descending along ancient paths, you arrive at the historic Narikala Fortress, where breathtaking views of the old city unfold. The walk continues into the atmospheric Sulfur Baths District, known for its domed baths and warm waters. Your experience ends at a hidden waterfall nestled within the city, leaving you with lasting memories of Tbilisi charm.

We took the Old Tbilisi Tour with Miriam on 14 Novber, and she was an excellent guide. Always ready to answer questions and full of fascinating insights about the architecture, culture, food, and history. The time flew by before we even realized it.

Did an excellent walk with the guide Levan. He did a wonderful job, had a great sense of humour and explained everything in great detail. A most memorable walk The alternative Tbilisi walk. Great to get some more info on the city and an insight into what is behind the facade. Thanks Levan

We did the Hidden Tbilisi tour with Miriam and we absolutely recommend it!! Such a good alternative to the typical Tbilisi tour, it really gives you a feel for the history and everyday life in Georgia, while also showcasing some absolute gems of the city you'd never be able to discover on your own. I think especially people interested in architecture and history will find this incredibly interesting. Big thanks to Miriam for being so positive and knowledgeable as a tour!

This was a great, informative & engaging walking tour. I did Hidden Tbilisi with Nino & can def recommend it if you are curious about the people, history & architecture of this fascinating city!

I joined two tours with Tbilisi Free Walking Tours and can recommend both. The Old Town free walking tour with Megi was fantastic. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and kept things engaging while sharing the history and stories of Tbilisi. I also did the paid Food Tour with Levan. His passion for Georgian food is infectious, and he gave great insights into the country’s culture and traditions along the way.
