Easy small bus to Kutaisi, 30 lari.

In general, here you can find buses and minivans to go to all cities and the borders of Turkey and Russia. The prices are affordable and you can also walk from the center. They don't speak very good English, but you can use Google Translate. I found a very cheap bus to go to the border of Turkey. Bus number 16, two dollars for two people.

Being a tourist I don't recommend this place not even riding a minivan everywhere. All drivers are unprofessional they are reckless driver if they are not sleepy driving they SMOKE everywhere even DURING DRIVING. It's unstoppable! Most of Van don't have proper ventilation so smoke is everywhere. Imagine smelling the smoke most of the time. I even encountered one driver with a hole in his chest from lungs operation but still smoking in the van nonstop don't care of his passenger at all. What a shame, disgusting!

Dodgy people. Buy your bus tickets with proper companies such as metro bus and lux karadenz. We were put in a bus by Sofia from Batumi to Istanbul with Jon Tur and I nearly died, the bus was extremely old, smelly, dirty, no air conditioning, the staff were extremely rude, very poor service, no charging point, no Wi-Fi, nothing basically.....

Big good market. Food. Actually all. In restaurant with Stalin picture best food in Batumi! Fine tobacco road...
