Join us for a true mountain adventure as we take on a 14km hike with 900m of ascent to the summit of Snowdon, one of the UK’s most iconic peaks. This professionally guided experience is suitable for everyone—from adventurous novices to seasoned hikers—and follows a lesser-known route that winds through quiet farmland, ancient mountain trails, and along dramatic ridgelines. Unlike the often-crowded main paths, our chosen ascent offers a sense of peaceful isolation and unspoiled natural beauty, culminating in a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view from the summit, weather permitting.
Descending ‘off-piste’ along the escarpment edge, you'll enjoy sweeping views over the valley and across to the historic slate town of Llanberis. Your guide, a fully qualified mountain leader with deep knowledge of Snowdon and the wider Snowdonia region, will enrich the journey with fascinating commentary and a few entertaining tales. While a café operates near the summit from May to September, it is often closed due to weather, so we strongly recommend bringing a packed lunch and a warm drink to fuel your climb and enjoy along the way.

Snowdon’s microclimate demands respect. Conditions can shift rapidly, so layered clothing, waterproofs, and a reliable map or GPS are essential. The summit café is a welcome reprieve, but self-sufficiency remains key—especially off-season. The views from the summit—on a clear day—are breathtaking, stretching across Snowdonia and even into Ireland. But beyond aesthetics, Snowdon carries symbolic weight: it’s the highest peak in Wales, steeped in myth and national pride.

Amazing experience. There were parts of the trail that were steep but overall it was a nice hike. The views are all worth it.

I took the Miners' path with my family and my dog. This is so worth it. Feeling of accomplishment and the views are amazing. We were queueing for about 30min to take a picture on the summit. The weather was perfect so lots of people turned up. The only thing I didn't realise up until then, is that some people claiming to have climbed the Snowdon have actually arrived by train 🤦♀️🤣

Visited Snowdon on 26 July 2025 a truly memorable experience! Hiked ~7 km from 300 ft to 3,500+ ft elevation. Some sections were steep and challenging, but the scenery all the way up was breathtaking. The summit was busy but totally worth the effort. There’s also a train option (£30 one way, £45 return) for those who prefer a more relaxed journey. Whether hiking or riding, Snowdon is a must-see if you’re in Wales!

Absolutely must for all hiking-loving people and I also recommend it to those of you who love adventure and exploration. It's an amazing feeling to climb one of the tallest mountains in the UK with stunning scenery to see all around you as you go up the mountain. A family with children can take the train which needs to be booked in advance costs around £45 return.
