Me and my daughter (11) had an amazing day. From my various guided hike experiences, I can definitely say this would be the best ever! We had enough time to explore every stop. Our guide Mr. Jamie is full of knowledge in Scotland's history so even the road trip was so much fun and knowledgable (I've learnt so much!). The main reason I booked this hike trip was to hike to the caves but unfortunately my daughter was so tired at that point that we had to call it off half way there and go back. Mr. Jamie was so helpful and kind in every way possible. He got us yummy snacks and found a vegan one for my daughter who has a dairy allergy. He even took us to a restaurant instead of the pie shop so she could have a good dairy free meal. I myself was dying to try the pies and managed to get one "to go" after our meal (thank you so much Mr. Jamie🥹🥹🥹) the pie was amazing! The last thing I would like to add is no matter how amazing your hike/adventure/ trip is, if the guide is not willing to be their for the people he/she is guiding, the entire event would be a waste of time..... Thanks from the heart Mr. Jamie for everything and I hope will meet for more guided adventures in the near future😃

Secret Highland Tours made our Scotland vacation again! Jamie went out of his way at every turn as he was fun, informative, and kind. We had such fun with Jamie on several days tours and most recently our 3 day tour and 1/2 day tour. We enjoy Inverness as our base as Catherine and I enjoy learning about the Scottish history and enjoy a tour guide that will take us on amazing hikes with stunning views. We enjoy Jamie's flexibility while on tour, no set schedule or timeline and able to change on the fly if weather does not cooperate. This is why Jamie and Secret Highland Tours will continue to be out tour guide when we are in Inverness. We also recommend a private tour with Jamie if you are not familiar with the single track roads as if Catherine and I were driving one would have to focus on the road and the other assisting with navigating which would make it difficult to focus on the beautiful scenery Scotland has to offer. From the outset of planning and booking, Jamie was quick with responding to emails and answering questions for our most recent 3 day tour. When our tour date came Jamie was prompt; arriving at our rental in a pristine van, very comfortable seats, and full of water and snacks for our adventure. Catherine and I highly recommend Secret Highland Tours and please reach out to Jamie as he can customize your day tour or multi day tour. Looking forward to our next tour with Jamie and Secret Highland Tours to Lewis and Harris and a whisky day tour. Thanks Jamie for making our recent trip a blast and full of memories. Not easy to pick out a highlight as we enjoyed every moment of the trip. Okay Handa Island will be a memory.... Scott and Catherine.

So there we were, ready for our Loch Ness boat ride to Urquhart Castle and then to the Cairngorms but alas, the weather failed to cooperate. We did get the cold and soggy boat ride in however the mountains were socked in. Soooo Our Kilt clad Scotsman tour guide, a manly specimen, asked if we were flexible. Sure we are. So off we went to his old stomping grounds in Tain and on to the amazing Dunrobin Castle. His knowledge of the area, culture and history combined with his ability to understand his clients desires were impeccable. Without belaboring the issue, I feel confident in rating this guide in the category of: Created water first, then walked upon it. From this day forth, he will be known by the name, “Jamie the Magnificent” Highly Recommended by the Old People.

We booked the "Untamed Northwest Tour," but the weather didn't cooperate! Instead of dramatic vistas, we'd have seen... CLOUDS! But Jaime quickly put together an alternative plan closer to Inverness that incorporated both recent Scottish history (the Clearances) & the distance past (the Picts). It was terrific! And he even bought an apple pie at our lunch stop that we all shared. Best apple pie I've ever tasted. His knowledge of and passion for Scottish history was just inspiring. I've studied and read a lot about it, but I learned so much. And, he grew up in the area, so we got some fun "things I did as a crazy teen" stories that were really fun as well. I know I'll be back in Scotland, and I can't wait to book with this company again!

We did three days touring with Jamie in April. One of the best parts of whole trip! Day 1 was his “Heroes & Villians” tour. Day 2 & 3 were things we wanted to do like Culloden, Urquart Castle and Queen’s View near Pitlochry as well as Jamie’s suggestions. Often we did spur of the moment things which was great. Jamie is knowledgeable and great fun. We also stayed at his B & B Doric House. Super convenient, affordable and the best sleep I had during our 12 days in Scotland. Highly recommend!
