Over the course of two hours and two miles, you’ll uncover the city’s most iconic landmarks alongside lesser-known corners notorious for eerie happenings, chilling crimes, and tragic injustices. This immersive experience will leave you with a strong mental map of the city centre, along with unsettling tales of murder, restless spirits, and the wrongfully executed — stories that may just linger in your thoughts long after the tour ends.
Starting outside the grand entrance of Cardiff Castle and finishing just opposite at The Rummer — the city’s most haunted pub — this walk promises both history and horror in equal measure. Your guide, a qualified Wales Official Tourist Guide, has a deep interest in the macabre side of local history and a passion for storytelling that brings Cardiff’s darker past vividly to life. I took the Free tour of Cardiff with Eugene which lasted a bit over 2 hours. We had a nice group that day due to a Rugby game that was happening that afternoon. The tour was well paced and very informative. Eugene was happy to answer any questions and did his best to keep us in dry areas on that rainy day.

Great walking tour in Cardiff! Eugene was an excellent guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and full of fun stories about the city. Learned a lot and really enjoyed the pace. Highly recommended!

I went on the regular Cardiff walking tour and the Cardiff Bay tour last month, both of which were led by Eugene. It was my first time to Wales and Cardiff (with minimal time to sightsee) and these tours provided the perfect amount of detail and background on the history of the city. Definitely check it out!

Bristol is a beautiful, vibrant city filled with history and much to enjoy and learn about. On this easy walk, Joann not only led the group to the best highlights of the city but she also shared historical facts and tossed in interesting storiies and humorous factoids. Her tour made us wish to spend more time in this great English destination.

Our tour guide Eugene was amazing. He has been the best tour guide we have had yet. He was so knowledgeable of all the Dr Who episodes and showed us so many locations that we were in Wow every time. What I liked the most about him was that he engaged with my son by asking him direct questions like "what is your favorite episode" or "which Dr is your favorite". This helpped my son come out of his shell as he is very quiet and didn't know what to expect from the tour. My son is a big Dr. Who fan and that is why we went to Cardiff and booked this tour. My son is still talking about the tour weeks after coming back. We just bought the 13th Dr Who series with Jodie Whittaker and in the very 1st episode the police station that Eugene showed us was in it! My son yelled "That's the police station" before I could even take it in. Eugene really did his research and showed us more then we could even imagine. Thank you Eugene for being a great tour guide and now a friend. If you are thinking of booking this tour you should do it quick before it gets full.
