Our day trip from Paris to Normandy was exactly what we were hoping for. Our guide, Philippe, was perfect - knowledgeable, engaging, and enjoyable to spend the day with. He picked us up at our hotel in Paris, took us to all of the spots listed on their Normandy Day Trip offering, brought us to a lovely spot for lunch, helped take photos, and provided the most comfortable ride (the vehicle itself and his driving) that we experienced on our 3+ week long European trip. I would highly recommend Best of France Tours and we hope to return and take a wine valley trip with him.
We took the Best of France tour on 8 September 2025 to Loire Valley, and it was simply amazing. Our guide Dimitri was absolutely the best! Polite and extremely knowledgeable and familiar with the entire area. It really surpassed our expectations, and we certainly would not hesitate to book another excursion again, and request if he is available. C'est Magnifique!
Normandy Personalized and Private Tour - My wife and I hired Philippe Brimont of Best of France Tours for a private 3 day guided tour of Normandy - Sept 8-10, 2025. It was just the 2 of us with Philippe. It was fantastic!!! He picked us up at CDG, met us as we exited baggage claim, loaded our luggage for us, and we drove out to Normandy in his brand new, comfortable, and very well appointed Mercedes van. Philippe took us to all of the famous WW2 D-Day sites, and provided a verbal introduction and discussion about the places. He accompanied us around the sites and explained them. He helped us find lunch, even with my severe dietary restrictions, and made dinner suggestions for us. He dropped us off and picked us up at our hotel in Bayeux each day. He also took us to several out of the way, little known, but significant and impactful sites as well. He made suggestions about which museum (there are many!!) he thought was the best one. As he got to know us, he suggested things that he thought that we would enjoy. This felt like a very personalized and detailed tour. For the 3rd day he arranged a local expert guide for us to visit Mont St. Michel - amazing!!! After this, he drove us back to Paris, directly to our hotel near the Arc de Triomphe. By the end of the 3 days, we were like old friends. We had our very serious and somber discussions about the events that occurred here, and then shortly after that, jokes. I can’t imagine a better way to see all of the important sites, get a deep understanding of the local culture, and to understand all sides of the historical events that occurred in Normandy. I feel like I learned so much new information, even after reading countless books and watching all of the movies. Philippe managed our time and schedule expertly, and his knowledge of the area and events was outstanding!! He is a true professional. Highly recommended.
Just finished a private tour to Champagne with Philippe & it was an absolute dream! I cannot recommend Philippe highly enough. Our trip to Champagne was the highlight of our time in Paris & Philippe orchestrated the entire experience. We had 100% private tours at two local champagne houses - it was only us, our tour guide & the champagne house owners there. Such a fun, personal, unique experience! The tastings were so fun & delicious. Philippe also organized our lunch & attended to our every request. We’ve taken five other private tours during our time in Paris & Philippe topped them all. If I could redo this trip, I would have booked Philippe for every single tour. You will love it!
You can quit googling. This is the tour you’re looking for. We just took a tour of Normandy with Philippe last week and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Incredibly professional, prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. The perfect 5 star rating on google is entirely deserved. Philippe made the day a joy, we learned so much, saw so many interesting things, he answered all our questions and showed us things we never would have noticed without him. The Mercedes that we toured in was immaculate, Philippe took care of everything. Oh, and our lunch was incredible. Philippe knows the BEST places to grab a bite. Book this tour.
