Put on your snowshoes and step into the peaceful heart of Lapland’s wilderness for a truly immersive Arctic adventure. This snowshoeing tour takes you away from the noise and into the serene, snow-covered forests and hills where you can connect with nature at its purest. Guided by an experienced professional, you'll explore remote landscapes, following trails that may reveal the hidden stories of the wild—animal tracks left by reindeer, moose, Arctic hares, and perhaps even elusive predators like wolves, lynx, or wolverines. The path and pace will be adjusted to suit the group, making the tour comfortable for everyone—from first-timers to experienced hikers—ensuring you can enjoy the scenery and experience without pressure.
As you move through this snowy world, your guide will share insights about the local environment and help you spot signs of life hidden in the landscape. About halfway through the journey, you'll pause for a warming break. Here, your guide will demonstrate how to build a fire the traditional way, using flint and steel along with natural materials—no matches, no lighters, even in extreme cold down to -30°C. While gathered around the crackling flames, you'll enjoy Finnish-style refreshments and snacks, and this quiet moment offers the perfect chance to learn more about Arctic life, Lapland’s wildlife, and local traditions. The calm and beauty of the surroundings will leave you feeling refreshed and deeply connected to nature.
To ensure the highest quality of experience, all tours are limited to a maximum of 8 people. This small group size allows for a more personal and intimate adventure, with your guide able to focus on each guest and provide tailored insights. It's a way to avoid the crowds and experience Lapland in a meaningful, respectful way. If you're looking for something more physically demanding, customized snowshoe safaris are also available upon request—just reach out and the team will be happy to design an experience that suits your preferences and fitness level.

Absolute Vibe of a trip! If you are able to do one of these adventures do it! We had a great time zooming through the wilderness it ended up lightly snowing towards the middle of our adventure. We did the buggy cruise with Georgia, was an absolute legend taking us around the tracks and ensuring we were all safe in the weather and having fun! Very knowledgeable and took us through some awesome tracks. Thanks for the amazing experience. Also she had some of the best shuttle bus music!

The Sunset Jeep Tour was an amazing tour. Tom was an excellent guide and shared lots of stories along the way as well as stopped along several viewpoints. This is a private mountain with exclusive access which makes it a very unique experience. The sunset from the top is simply mesmerising.

I did the sunset Jeep tour with Dan and he was fantastic!! He showed us lots of great view points up the mountain and was very knowledgeable. He took great pictures of and for everyone in the group. I visited the first week in October. This meant the clouds hid the sunset a little, but we still had spectacular views and, although the sun was a bit shy, it still put on a show. I also did the Buggy tour with Curt and Anna and they were wonderful! The views were out of this world, especially with the fall foliage. We got to splash in a bunch of puddles and take in the scenery. I will definitely book excursions with Canadian Wilderness Adventures on my next trip to Whistler.

I had the absolute best time on the ATV tour with Canadian Wilderness Adventures in Whistler! It was our very first time driving an off-road vehicle, and it turned out to be such a fun and unforgettable experience. Our guide, Georgia, made the tour truly special. She was incredibly attentive, patient, and knowledgeable—we felt comfortable and confident the whole way through. She made the ride both exciting and safe. The trails and sight seeing sports were beautiful, the adrenaline was high! I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Whistler, especially if you’re looking for a unique way to explore the wilderness. Huge thanks to Georgia for making our first ATV adventure one we’ll never forget!

I had an incredible day on two amazing tours yesterday with my parents! First up we had the canoe tour down the river of golden dreams which is a must-do in Whistler! Our guide Eli was an expert at navigating through the river and it was not only stunning but both peaceful in the calm and exciting in the fast moving water! Our second tour was the ATV tour up Blackcomb Mountain to Crystal Hut to enjoy a beautiful salmon dinner with spectacular views. Our guide Zach showed us a wonderful time on the ATV’s and it was so fun to ride up the trails that we normally ski on! Can’t recommend either tour more highly and the whole crew made sure the experience was seamless and stress-free, especially Penny & Sam in reservations when we were running late! Big thank you for an epic day in Whistler :)
