In this immersive activity, you will explore the rich and diverse world of wines from Córdoba, a region known for its deep-rooted viticultural traditions. From robust fortified wines with nutty, oxidative profiles to crisp, floral white wines and bold, structured reds, Córdoba offers a fascinating range of expressions shaped by its unique climate and soil. You'll learn about the grape varieties and winemaking techniques that make these wines distinctive, as well as the cultural heritage that has preserved these practices over centuries.

To enhance your wine journey, the experience includes a curated food pairing with four artisanal cheeses produced in Córdoba. Each cheese style has been carefully selected to complement a specific type of wine, allowing you to understand how flavors and textures interact on the palate. You'll explore the harmony between creamy or aged cheeses and the depth of the wines, gaining insight into local gastronomy and how wine and food elevate one another in traditional Andalusian cuisine.

The activity also includes a demonstration of the art of venencia, the graceful technique used to extract wine from a barrel using a long-handled tool, an emblematic practice in Andalusian wine culture. To round off the experience, you'll have the opportunity to taste a Cordobesian vermouth—a local favorite—and receive insider tips on how to enjoy it just like the locals do in a traditional Córdoba tavern. Whether you're a seasoned wine enthusiast or a curious beginner, this experience promises to deepen your appreciation for the wines and culinary traditions of Córdoba.

Our olive oil tasting, hosted by Adrian, was absolutely fabulous.. He was informative and engaging. We sampled a wide range of olive oils. I was blown away by the chocolate and orange combo. I would highly recommend this experience.

It was an amazing experience. The Chef Adrian was super competent, and available to answer any and all questions. We spent a couple hours chatting tasting some nice local wines all the while learning how to cook 2 dishes from local cuisine. Great experience, I absolutely recommend it!

I did the paella and salmorejo cooking class with Adrian and Gloria. It was absolutely fabulous and they were a delight to spend two hours with. I can’t wait to try both recipes at home. I also learned a lot about the region, olive oil production and the various ingredients. One key thing is I’m gluten free (celiac) and they were able to modify the recipes for me. Overall, one of the best experiences in Spain I’ve had. I highly recommend them!

Huge thank you to Adrian for an amazing wine tasting evening. My wife and I got to try 5 or 6 delicious local wines that were paired beautifully with local cheeses. Adrian was extremely knowledgeable and brought a lot of humor to the evening. We will be definitely be returning to ‘ Things to do Córdoba’ next time we are here and would also like to try the local tapas tour that they offer.

My husband and I had a great time olive oil tasting, Barbara looked after us and had a wide knowledge of the oils . We tried many tradicional oils and olives. We learnt so much. Thank you, brilliant experience.
