The Champs-Élysées, one of the most celebrated avenues in the world, has served as Paris’s grand horizontal axis since the 17th century. Stretching seventy meters wide, the avenue begins at Place de la Concorde and extends to the iconic Arc de Triomphe. Once a simple woodland path, it was transformed into a royal and imperial route, later becoming a symbol of prestige and elegance. After the 1855 World Fair, the Champs-Élysées blossomed into a favored gathering place for the wealthy and stylish, remaining a luxurious hotspot until the mid-20th century. Today, it stands as one of Paris’s busiest commercial districts, alive with cafés, boutiques, cultural venues, and architectural splendor.

As we walk along this majestic avenue, we will admire the harmonious blend of historical and modern Paris. While much of the Champs-Élysées is lined with grand 19th-century buildings, contemporary architectural gems also punctuate the landscape, created by acclaimed French architects such as Edouard François and Manuelle Gautrand. Our journey culminates at the Arc de Triomphe, where a breathtaking panoramic view awaits—capturing Paris in its full glory, from the historic Louvre to the modern skyscrapers of La Défense.

Plenty of food, luxury brands stores, galleries, restaurants and... People!! Nice but too crowded. In my opinion, there are better, nicer and more glamourous boulevards (like haussman or near la place vendome)

Fancy street where a visit to any store on here is going to cost you at least a 1000 euros. Listed in the "lovely places to take your wife if you win the lottery."

It is a must visit place in Paris, and it end (or begins) at the Arc de Triumphant. I highly recommend visiting the Arc then walk at the avenue. This way you won’t be going up hill.
