Explore the history of Berlin during the Cold War on this guided bike tour along the former course of the Berlin Wall. Spanning approximately 12–15 kilometers over 3 hours and 30 minutes, the tour offers a comprehensive look at life in a divided city and the events leading up to German reunification. Visit key locations such as Prenzlauer Berg, Gethsemane and Zion Churches, Bornholmer Straße where the Wall fell, and the Berlin Wall Memorial, gaining insight into how the Wall shaped everyday life, politics, and society.
As you cycle through the city, your knowledgeable guide will share stories about escape attempts, the role of churches, and the social impact of the Wall. See remnants of the Wall at the Invalidenfriedhof cemetery, the Günter Litfin Memorial, and the Palace of Tears at Friedrichstraße station. The route also includes Mauerpark, the former death strip near Nordbahnhof, and iconic landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate, offering a mix of historical reflection, human stories, and Berlin’s post-reunification transformation. This tour is ideal for history enthusiasts seeking an immersive, active way to understand the city’s complex past.

This is hands down one of the best, if not the best, bike repair shops in all of Prenzlauerberg. The seasoned pros up front have decades of experience under their belts, and it shows—whether it’s a quick fix or a full overhaul, they handle it all with expertise and care.

Today we had an excellent Wall Tour with Ference. We were with two but none the less we took off. With nice tracks and excellent stories we had a very good time during the 3.5 hour trip. A visit to the "Tränenpalast" and the Kapelle der Versohnung" where included among many other things. If you have the time, enjoy this excellent trip.

very extensive bike tour with lots of explanations about the history of Berlin. Visiting major and interesting sites with a in depth explanation of a real Berlin inhabitant. We enjoyed the whole tour.

Our tour guide Katrin is a lovely human. Tours are always less than 8 people per their website, and mine only consisted of 5 people. Katrin is very knowledgeable about the history of Berlin: especially about the west/east divide in which she grew up in. It is a fairly long ride; the only potentially tough part is the final hill. We saw many of the regular touristy sites on the "Half-Day Guided Bike Tour of Central Berlin's Highlights", along with some other local Berlin gems. I would highly recommend doing.

Excellent experience. Really solid guides, everything was on time and smooth, and -- maybe most importantly -- they do small groups. If you've been around Berlin a bit, you've probably seen the large tour groups. Less is definitely more when it comes to the size of a bike tour group. Berlin Bike Tour is doing it right.
