One of best places to visit in berlin. Highly recommended. For new year Eve you need to go a bit early otherwise you can't get the front view of fireworks.
The open square around it makes the experience even better — plenty of space to walk around, take photos, and simply pause to take everything in. One of the most famous landmarks in Berlin and it didn’t disappoint. I would advise to arrive as the sun is setting because the gate looks so beautiful. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and public toilets near here.
