In June we took a trip to Bolivia (winter there) and it was wonderful. We biked on the Uyuni salt flats (and hiked on the amazing 'coral gardens') and the most dangerous road in world, we hiked in the Amazon and did so much more. Our guide, Jorgen, our drivers, and accommodations were great. It was a pleasure to see Jorgen again too as we did the Ecuador trip with BikeHike and him more than a decade ago! We had no idea there was so much to see in Bolivia: interesting wildlife (capibara, rhea, monkeys, sloth, vicuna, caiman, flamingos, pink dolphins, macaw, hoatzin, ...); interesting history and culture, the ancient civilization of the Tiwanaku; Lake Titicaca and The Island of the Sun and the Island of the Moon; the old-west-like feel of parts of the country (actually where Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were killed after robbing a train there). We had no issues acclimating to the high altitude 12K ft or more for La Paz, the salt flats, and the mountains and the change to the Amazon part and Rurrenabaque (

My partner and I had an excellent 9 day hiking trip with BikeHike Adventures to Slovenia, Italy, and Austria. Barbara was the best guide and made our trip fantastic. Her knowledge of the hiking terrain and history of the area was superb. She developed a personal relationship with each person on the trip (5 persons). Because of my experience I’ll be booking again with BikeHike Adventures.

Yet another amazing Bike Hike experience this year so I thought worthy of a review. My family and I have some done group trips together large and small over the years and they never disappoint. Each trip Trish and Meghan have worked with us to fine tune the experience we are looking for and they always seem to deliver. This year biking and hiking in around Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro was spectacular. It all starts with our guide Emir who was the perfect fit for us. A season cyclist, he lead the charge for the week. He was friendly, professional, organized. We had a great time having him as part of our group. Felt more like traveling with a good friend all week which makes things that much more special. Some of the spots we stopped in on for the night were really amazing family run hotels often located in beautiful settings. Really could not ask for much more. We look forward to booking our next trip with BH.

Our Ladies Let’s Ride group (Portland Based Women's Cycling Group) has been traveling with BikeHike Adventures since 2017, and they never disappoint. We have traveled many places with them, Costa Rica, Vancouver BC, Portugal, Spain just to name a few. We just returned from a 10-day tour in Slovenia where we biked nearly 200 miles, hiked through gorgeous terrain, and rafted the beautiful Soča River. As always, the accommodations were great, and our guide was knowledgeable, flexible, and fun. What sets BikeHike Adventures apart is the unexpected magic they add to every trip. This time, we had a surprise stop at a local’s home for lunch—who also happened to have a WWII museum upstairs! BikeHike Adventures always goes the extra mile to make sure your adventure is unforgettable. We’re already thinking about the next one. 💚

Our recent trip with BikeHike Adventures to Peru and the Galápagos was absolutely fantastic! We loved exploring Cuzco and witnessing local life; Machu Picchu was truly unforgettable. The Galápagos Islands portion was a highlight, offering amazing wildlife encounters with giant tortoises, marine turtles, blue-footed boobies, white tipped reef sharks, and even penguins! We especially appreciated getting away from the crowds through hiking, kayaking, biking, and snorkeling – it was a unique and immersive experience. What made this trip truly stand out were our local tour leaders, Henry and Jorgen. They handled all of the logistics flawlessly, making the entire journey incredibly stress-free. We could just relax and enjoy every moment. Highly recommend BikeHike for an unforgettable and perfectly organized adventure!
