We did the "Dark Side" night tour of Bruges with our guide, Martin. He was terrific -- Had many stories and legends to tell us as we walked around some of the Bruges neighborhoods. I liked that he spoke loudly and was easy to hear (we had a very large group of 24 people on the night we took the tour so that can get a little tricky). My wife and I had done a bike tour earlier in the day, so we weren't sure whether to do this night walking tour. I highly recommend that you do it. You see a totally different side of the city at night. The lights and canals and buildings seem to stand out even more. And one huge plus is that there are far fewer people around the city at night, so it's much less crowded. It's just kind of a part spooky, part romantic atmosphere that you simply don't get during the day with the big crowds everywhere. I felt like I got some of the best photos from our entire trip to Belgium (Ghent, Bruges, Brussels) on this night tour.

Our Historical Bruges tour was really the best! Our guide was Natalie and she conducts one of the best "city/history" tours we have ever been on. Knowledgeable, funny, great stories, and she ties everything together in thread fashion so as the tour comes to life, it also makes historical sense. Compliment and tip her well as she is worth every euro!
A good tour requires two key things, knowledge and personality - this tour had both in buckets! Nicholas was obviously so deeply passionate about his home town and showing it off to people, he was also a straight up character! With humour and strong welcoming personality. Tour size was quite big but I think everyone managed to squeeze in nicely. Night tours are just so special.
I did the Dark side of Bruges evening tour and Martin was an exceptional guide! Funny and fascinating, his obvious interest in the history of Bruges and Belgium was a real treat. Privately, I asked auxiliary questions which he had clear and concise answers to with even more interesting facts. Highly recommend Legends and Martin and this tour!
