Belgium is world-renowned for its exquisite chocolates, and there’s no better way to experience this sweet legacy than by learning how to make your own Belgian truffles, pralines, and pastries.
This 3-hour Belgian chocolate-making class is an immersive, hands-on experience perfect for chocolate lovers, foodies, and anyone looking to try something new. Under the guidance of a professional chocolatier, you’ll discover the techniques behind crafting traditional Belgian chocolates, including:
Making rich, velvety pralines with soft fillings.
Creating decadent chocolate truffles, coated in cocoa or nuts.
Mastering pastry techniques, including the famous choux filled with whipped cream and chocolate.
Before diving into the workshop, your tour will begin with a visit to Galler Chocolates, a brand known for its dark chocolate creations and bold flavors like orange, pepper, and Earl Grey. You’ll also get the chance to taste Belgian macarons, a lesser-known specialty in Belgium.
Once inside the chocolate workshop, you’ll be provided with all the ingredients and tools you need to create your very own chocolates. Your expert instructor will guide you through each step, from tempering the chocolate to shaping and decorating your truffles and pralines. Everything you make will be beautifully packaged for you to take home.
After the class, enjoy a delightful break with a selection of Belgian pastries, paired with coffee, hot chocolate, or soft drinks. To end the experience, you’ll visit the legendary Mary Chocolates to taste their famous Champagne Rosé Truffle, made with the exclusive ruby chocolate.
The tour concludes back at Grand Place, where your guide will share fascinating insights into the history of Brussels' chocolate-making traditions and its famous landmarks.

This is the best tour I have taken. Martin and Antoine were the perfect duo. It gave just enough information on history and culture with fun! Highly recommend everyone take this tour :)

The meeting spot was easy to find. Mary and Julie gave us an overview of what was ahead. My biggest surprise was all the knowledge of Brussels that I learned. I think we saw every interesting thing in Brussels. We went to so many candy shops I lost count. They were all delicious and the process was explained in detail. Then the real fun began….I was thinking maybe a flight of beer but I was way off. We went to quite a few places and tasted full beers and some snacks too. All the beers and their histories were explained along with the pubs we were in. Mary and Julie made this trip. My husband and I don’t talk much to others when we go out but by the end of the tour the group of us were all in conversations and the guides were hilarious. I couldn’t recommend a tour more than this one. If you want fun and like to learn something about the city you are visiting, this should not be missed!!

Must do for 1 day visit - solo or with friends 100% best time spent for the money. You can book direct from hungry mary's site too to remove the % tripadvisor takes from the company. Clemons and Stephane were the best!!! Perfect for solo or with friends. Lots of beer you have never tasted, chocolates you never imagined existed and snacks and history along the way. Plus discounts on the shops at the end. I was here solo for 1 day and it was the perfect fill. It is the full 5 hours but you wont regret it. Not a ton of walking either. Highly recommend.

This is one of the best tour I had in Europe for traveling so many years. It’s super. Clemen and Stefan are great. The whole tour is relaxing and totally enjoyable. It’s not rushing, met a couple of nice people, it’s a great food tour especially when involved beers. Excellent !!

Highly recommend. Especially if you love beer and chocolate but also a little bit of history. Now I would generally recommend this tour for adults only but those younger in heart and mind. This is not your stuffy tour with a flag and microphone. This is more of a personal, fun, get a moving around the busy city in its busiest places kind of tour. Requires you to like having fun and love good jokes. If you’re looking for a true history/ monument tour this is not for you. We tried lots of beers and chocolate and they were all amazing. Plus we learned all the fun stuff. Our tour guides Martin and Jeremy were amazing and I would highly recommend spending essentially 4.5-5 hours with them. Martin will tell you all the fun jokes and make learning fun while Jeremy will be looking fine in the back of the group, serve you chocolate, and make sure you don’t get left behind. Both of these guys were sooo amazing and we appreciated their good work.
