W Abu Dhabi Yas Island used to be one of our favorite hotels whenever we came to Abu Dhabi. We always made a stop here for a few days and truly enjoyed our stays in the past. Unfortunately, this time was completely different. As a Bonvoy Ambassador, I was neither recognized nor greeted accordingly upon arrival. The lady at check in was an intern and clearly overwhelmed. She had to call for assistance several times. I asked for a nice upgrade, as we always received one before. She assured me everything was fine, so we went for lunch. Later, she came by the restaurant smiling and handed us the room key, saying she had given us a great upgrade. In reality, it was exactly the same room category I had booked. Quite disappointing, but fine for one night, as the rooms are still spacious and modern. The next issue came later that night. We had taken a short nap in the afternoon, used the shower and bathroom, and left the Make Up Room light on before heading to Yas Mall. When we returned around 9 PM, nothing had been done, no evening service, no cleaning, nothing at all. At this level of hotel, that is simply unacceptable. I will mention this again during check out tomorrow, but it is unfortunate to see how much the quality has declined compared to previous years. This review is meant as constructive feedback, and I truly hope the management takes it seriously and restores the level of service that once made this property special.
I stayed at the W Abu Dhabi hotel for one night with family and was very interested to see the F1 racing track that ran below and around the hotel. The check in was fast and efficient. The staff were friendly, attentive and provided a good overview of all the hotel amenities which were quite inviting and extensive. I wished my stay could have been longer. Upon being shown to my room I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had been upgraded to a suite. The room was exceptionally beautiful with the full marina view and part of the racing track which was exciting to see and hear as the cars sped across. We ate dinner at the hotel’s Brooklyn Chophouse Restaurant. The food was sumptuous. A fabulous hotel indeed that I recommend is a must to experience!

We stayed at W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island on the 7th October to celebrate my son’s 4th birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience from start to finish! A heartfelt thank you to Grace at the front desk for the warm welcome and smooth check-in, and to Nette, Ashwini, and Bhaven for arranging such a beautiful surprise in our room — complete with a delicious cake, fresh flowers, and lovely birthday decorations that made my son’s day extra special. Dinner at Garage Restaurant was the highlight of our stay! The team surprised my son with a handwritten card, and everyone came singing and dancing with a cake — it was such a fun and emotional moment for all of us. Huge appreciation to JJ, Ann, Shila, Nanth, Baba, Sandeepa, Saiful, Rabindra, Jabid, and Shisla for making the evening so full of joy and warmth. Shout out to all chefs, for the amazing breakfast selections that suits for all. Especially lots of Indian choices. Apart from all these wonderful gestures, the rooms and the hotel itself are absolutely gorgeous — stylish, vibrant, and full of character. Every detail feels thoughtful and luxurious. The entire team, from valet to kitchen to housekeeping, deserves praise for being incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready with a smile. Thank you, W Yas Island, for making our family celebration so magical. My son was beyond happy, and we left with hearts full of gratitude and memories we’ll cherish forever. 💫🎂💐
We stayed at the hotel for two nights in August while accompanying our son, who was leaving for the US. Our stay was truly memorable. The location was perfect for us — close to the airport and Ferrari World, the only attraction we had planned to visit. Our room offered a lovely view of the racetrack and a partial ocean view. It was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Though the lobby tends to get a bit crowded at times, the staff were courteous and efficient. Check-in was quick and smooth, and room service was excellent — prompt delivery, delicious food, and generous portions. We had breakfast at Garage on both days. The spread was extensive and impressive, though it does get quite busy around 9 a.m. On the first day, my son wanted a milkshake, which wasn’t part of the buffet. The staff went out of their way to make one specially for him, knowing he was travelling early the next morning — a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. However, our experience on the second day was rather disappointing. After dropping our son at the airport, we returned for breakfast. While I was serving myself some gravy, the ladle accidentally slipped into the dish. When I asked for a replacement, the staff member simply reached into the gravy with his bare hand to retrieve it — something completely unexpected from a hotel of such repute. Overall, we had a mixed experience at Garage — moments of genuine warmth and hospitality and on the other end of spectrum an incident that left a poor impression. Guests will certainly be wowed by the grandeur of the property, but what truly stays in memory are the gestures — both kind and unkind — of the people who represent it.
