Customer service at the windows can be poor -3. Otherwise a 5, it's a convenient station which connects with the trams, bus, and subways making it very easy to get downtown. We exchanged our money there with no problem and there are food and coffee stalls just outside. There is a Billa grocery store at the end of the station.

If you are taking the bus Skopje beware where you wait. Since there are two sides to the central station - international and domestic , taxi might might be drop you off at international side. Make sure you go to the domestic ( or glass facade) bus station. Here you will look for the name of the bus company you purchased your online ticket with and go to the front desk to check in with your passport ( as you are crossing 2 borders). Find out the platform number and wait. We almost missed the bus as we waited at the international station and since most customers did not speak English we ended up standing waiting at the international platform when we should have walked (be a 3 min )across the road at the glass covered building checking in. Don’t be to worried when your passport gets taken from you by bus driver at the borders. Oh yes ! Eat before you enter the bus. There is on rest stop and the journey is long.

Sofia's Central Bus Station is pretty handy, especially since it’s right next to the main train station, so switching between bus and train is really easy. If you’re coming from the airport (Terminal 2), the taxi ride costs around 22 leva. Inside the station, you can grab your bus tickets and pick up some snacks if you’re feeling a bit hungry. But if you’re really hungry, there are a few restaurants nearby to get a proper meal. Overall, it’s a convenient spot for travelers!😊

The Sofia bus station was a well-maintained and orderly place. The restrooms were clean and user-friendly. Additionally, the train station is conveniently located nearby, and it's easy to walk to the downtown area.

Professional staff with decent English, very well organized and fast. There are toilets and places to grab some water or a coffee. The buses are big and comfortable. In less than 10 minutes without speaking any Bulgarian, I managed to find the right bus, buy the ticket, grab a bottle if water and was already on the platform waiting for my ride. Fare was cheap too, only 9.5 leva for a two hour bus trip to Plovdiv
