SENSORY JOURNEY: WINE TASTING IN TOTAL DARKNESS REDEFINES SLovak WINE EXPERIENCE

In a distinctive twist on traditional wine appreciation, a new immersive experience invites participants to step into darkness and rediscover wine through heightened senses. The 30-minute “Tasting in the Dark” session removes visual cues entirely, encouraging guests to rely on aroma, texture, and taste as their primary guides through each pour.

Led by an experienced sommelier, the session features three carefully selected artisan wines from Slovakia, each served in 4 cl portions. With sight eliminated, participants are guided through the origin, character, and craftsmanship of each wine, creating a focused and introspective tasting environment that emphasizes sensory perception over presentation.

The experience is conducted in an intimate setting designed for groups ranging from 8 to 44 participants, ensuring both engagement and exclusivity. Available in English, Slovak, French, and Italian, the tasting is structured to welcome an international audience while maintaining a personal, educational tone throughout.

Between tastings, guests are offered simple plain bread to cleanse the palate, reinforcing the emphasis on purity of flavor. Blending education with playfulness, the event positions itself as both a celebration of Slovak winemaking heritage and a memorable sensory challenge that reshapes how wine is experienced.
