Fantastic tour!!! You get to see and hear things you would otherwise not. Roberto is the best guide. The amount of knowledge is unbelievable and he tells the story in a captivating way. We booked the ‘Fountains and Fallen Angels’ Tour but will definitely be coming back to Rome and arrange another tour with Roberto!!
Our "Between Holy Doors" tour with Roberto was FANTASTIC! Our family of 5 really enjoyed seeing the beautiful churches and hearing the stories of early Christian history behind them and the artwork inside. Roberto is incredibly smart, and all of us enjoyed learning from him (even our teen and young adult sons who were skeptical of spending a whole afternoon in churches!). We very much appreciated his reverence of these holy sites. Roberto was very professional and easy to work with. I booked directly through him and his website/email. He was very accommodating of our schedule and circumstances. Our daughter had rolled her ankle the day before our tour and was moving slowly. We told him we may need to cut out a church or 2 in order to finish in the timeframe. He instead suggested swapping one church for an alternate in order to save some walking/time and a hill but was equally interesting. We did that and got through the whole tour...so grateful for his flexibility and quick thinking on the spot! Highly recommend Roberto and Treasures of Rome and hope to return to do some of his other tours!
I am so glad we took this tour. I came across it when searching for a tour that included churches like Mary major and St John's Lateran, but this was so much more. It was only my mother and myself with our guide Roberto. He really should charge more for this tour because the value far exceeded the other tours we took that were 3-4X the cost, he just has a love for Rome and wants to share it with others. I felt like a local, and some of them may not even know about all these places, when we explored everything from Basilicas to tiny chapels that held so much history. Thank you Roberto for showing us all these fascinating places and teaching us the meaning and significance of what we were seeing that we couldn't have done on our own. Your tour was amazing.
My Friends and I booked a Tour with Roberto (our tour guide) and it was just extraordinary. We had all been living in Roma for a while and knew most “touristic” places so we decided to book the beyond the Tiber tour to discover a different area. We started of at Castel Sant Angelo and walked to Gianicolo and then through Trastevere until the Tiber Island. Roberto made us see the new aspects in sights we already knew and because of his fantastic knowledge of the city we got to see some hidden sights. We spent an amazing afternoon and I am definitely planning on going on another tour of treasures of Rome tour and can only recommend to everyone else to do the same!
Excellent tour which took in many of Rome’s highlights and some lesser known sights. Roberto’s passion for the tour was evident from the start to finish and spoke in depth about the historical significance of all that we visited. I learnt so much and was engaged with all that Roberto had to say. He also answered all of my questions proving an incredible knowledge of Rome and it’s history.
