I just returned from a Viking cruise in the Mediterranean, ending in Rome. While on my Viking cruise, I had a tour at every port, via Viking, including tours in Athens, Turkey, Crete, & Messina. Some were included with my cruise and some were additional cost for a more detailed excursion. These were nice tours with Ephesus being my favorite!, until my artival in Rome. We extended our Viking tour by adding 2 days In Rome, and Viking handled the hotel, airport transfer etc., Viking is an amazing company to cruise with and we loved our trip! I decided to book my own tours in Rome and via online research found WIR, And just Wow! The tours with Walks Inside Rome were beyond phenomenal. The depth of knowledge of our tour guides, Christina for Colosseum area including the Pantheon, & Flavia for Vatican & Sistine Chapel made our trip so special. The guides were so kind, informative, knowledgeable and a joy to spend the day with. If you are going to Rome, and want to know and understand what you are seeing, book with WIR. Best decision ever and worth every dime! And, Valentina's dinner suggestion, beyond expectations! A beautiful end to our dream vacation! Thank you all so much! Andrea

Giorgia gave us the experience of a lifetime exploring the out islands of Venice. It was our 5th excursion with WIR over many years and they never disappoint. The passion, fun and knowledge are incomparable ❤️ Thank you so much for being in this world 💜💜

To whom it may concern, I made a reservation with your team for an organized tour on the evening of September 9th 2025, and all I can say is: wow 🤩 and thank you. The reservation number was 2XXXX-XXX and the individuals who attended, 6 , were all impressed with professionalism of the guide, Signor Antonello, who drove us around and made this experience unforgettable. Coming from North America (Canada) it was a guess for us and we based the reservation upon what was seen on facebook and the comments we read on the social media. The visit was such that the following day we went and revisited some of the highlights. Be sure that on our next trip to Rome, we will book other tours, knowing in advance they’ll be as wonderful. Thank you are also for the persons who responded with great efficiency to the questions we had. I believe the name were Giorgia G. and Valentina. Be certain you get references from us to individuals travelling to Rome and looking for tours. Thanks again,

Guide was very informative and covered all of the main city’s historical sites

What an amazing tour guide with Valentina. She was very informative, funny, and interactive!! Highly recommend this experience.learning the history makes it an unforgettable experience !

We had a lovely experience with Elena! Highly recommend booking a private experience, if you can — the attention and flexibility is worth it. My partner and I had booked a tour including the Sistine Chapel and Colosseum a few weeks before Pope Francis died. As it turned out, the conclave began on the day we were set to tour at the Vatican! While we missed the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, Elena went out of her way to make a new agenda for the two of us, which showcased her expertise in archaeology! She took us to the Roman Forum (which was not originally included in our itinerary), so that we wouldn’t have to deal with the crowds at the Vatican, and she had so much to share. Along the way, Elena helped us visualize what once was with her remarkable collection of photos and storytelling. While we’re sad to have missed the Sistine Chapel, the day ended on a high note at Colosseum. We would gladly learn from Elena again!

Brian did an amazing job, we got to see the big attractions while also seeing historic hidden gems An incredible way to see the city, and a great way to start a trip in Rome

We loved Brian! He was so knowledgeable and good natured. He answered all of our questions and had so many interesting facts to share about each stop.

Highly recommend Brian! He was so nice and welcoming and encouraged us to ask questions. The tour was a good pace so we were able to cover quite a bit.

Brian made our experience really enjoyable with his in depth knowledge about the locations we visited on the tour AND the general history of Roma. Being a small group of two couples, Brian's engaging conversation put us ease and made us feel like old friends. The only improvement that I would suggest is making the meeting point more obvious... for example, the Victor Emmanuel Monument. That is almost impossible to miss!
