Wheel Tours – Rome Golf Cart Tours absolutely exceeded our expectations. From start to finish, the 3-hour tour was comfortable, relaxed and incredibly informative. We learnt so much about Rome’s history and hidden gems, but it never felt like a lecture – the guide was warm, funny and engaging throughout, striking the perfect balance between facts and fun. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole team came across as genuinely customer-centric, constantly checking we were happy, comfortable and getting the most from the experience. The golf cart made it easy to cover a lot of ground without feeling tired, and the stop for gelato was a real highlight – some of the best ice cream we’ve had in Italy! We have done Rome multiple times, walking, bus, metro, etc. We booked the evening pizza and gelato highlights of Rome tour. FANTASTIC. We Hit all the wonderful spots, weaving in and out of small alley ways. Pizza and gelato were great, Family of 5 with Alessandro, he can speak 4 languages, he wears a white hat and is great fun! so many interesting places and facts. We took a Rome highlights tour with Arvin and Lilly and it was fantastic. A great way to see some of Rome’s most famous sites while riding in style. Having water and the stop for Gelato was fantastic. Our family had a great time.

This Rome Highlights Tour was wonderful and a really good value. 3 Hours of up close and personal visits to major attractions, all the while listening to a very informative and interactive tour by Alessandro. We learned so many fascinating things! The employees are all so friendly and helpful to visitors. This tour is a great way to get a nice taste of the city. We will definitely do the night tour next time, too! If you have mobility issues, this may be perfect for you. We usually grab a Hop on/Hop off bus in major cities, but due to standing/walking limitations and the size of Rome, this was the ideal solution. The included Gelato stop was wonderful, too. We had both a young newlywed couple and an elderly couple on our tour... both had a great time. Our guide Alessandro and second driver, Armando, went above and beyond to be of assistance, from taking us off the beaten path to see and experience the daily cannon fire, to watching everyone's backpacks when we had to leave the carts to see a fountain, steps, etc. up close, without having to lug all our stuff every time. When the elderly woman got tired, they brought the cart to pick her up. The walking required was really minimal, but the attention to their guests was so warm and kind, like family. I can't recommend these guys enough. They have bathroom facilities at their business location, and there is also a bathroom at the Gelato stop by the Pantheon. The high rating is fully deserved. Federico was marvellous as tour guide, kept us engaged throughout with stories and anecdotes and helping us to picture how life must have been in the first couple of centuries after Christ. Aruna and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour in a small group with a bunch of friendly strangers. It was great to see an actual circus ( not circus maximus, but a private, smaller one), walk the Via Appia's cobblestones laid over 2000 years ago, and to stand right next to where Jesus and St Peter might have stood in the Church of Domine Quo Vadis ("My Lord, where are you going?" Peter is said to have asked). Catacombs tour and tour guide was fabulous too, (although slightly unnerving to be in an actual burial chamber), the guide patiently answered all our queries. All in all, a great tour in a golf cart that takes you through Rome and back in time, without straining your knees, especially if you are recovering from recent surgery!
