Far away from the city, best if you can catch a taxi. Don't use Uber if there is high demand, just look for a regular taxi.

Cool terminal. Souvenirs stand across the street. You can catch a bus into town from here. Have to catch the bus from the ship to the terminal 1st. No walking to exit.

The Zeebrugge Cruise Terminal, located in the port of Zeebrugge, Belgium, is a convenient and well-organized gateway for travelers visiting the beautiful region of Flanders. Though relatively small compared to other major cruise ports, it offers a smooth and efficient experience for both passengers and crew members. The terminal itself is clean, modern, and functional. Upon arrival, disembarkation is typically quick, with clear signage and helpful staff available to assist with directions and local information. There aren’t many amenities within the terminal building, but the basics are covered, such as restrooms, information desks, and a small souvenir stand. For more services like shopping or dining, passengers usually head into nearby cities such as Bruges or Blankenberge. One of the terminal’s strongest advantages is its proximity to top tourist destinations. Zeebrugge is ideally situated as a launching point for shore excursions to the medieval city of Bruges, just 30–40 minutes away by shuttle or taxi. Cruise lines often provide transportation options directly from the port, and public transit is also accessible, though a bit limited. Security at the terminal is well-managed, and embarkation and disembarkation procedures are usually smooth. The port staff and customs officers are generally friendly and efficient. While the surrounding port area is mostly industrial, there is a calm beach nearby and some local seafood restaurants if passengers have a few hours to spare. Overall, the Zeebrugge Cruise Terminal may not be flashy, but it serves its purpose well. Its greatest value lies in its strategic location near some of Belgium’s most charming destinations. If you’re cruising to Northern Europe and your itinerary includes Zeebrugge, you’re in for a laid-back yet culturally rich experience. It’s a perfect example of a “gateway port” that opens the door to memorable adventures inland.
