Christmas City Express Brings Holiday Magic to Muddy Creek Forks
Step into a festive holiday celebration at Muddy Creek Forks with the Christmas City Express. The experience begins inside the beautifully decorated general store, where families can enjoy traditional Christmas activities, listen to carols, create holiday crafts, and search for the pickle ornament while waiting for the story.
Guests are welcomed to the mill for a dramatic reading about a young girl traveling to Muddy Creek Forks to visit her grandparents for Christmas. A special visitor and keepsake ornament add extra magic before everyone heads toward the station platform for the scenic motorcar train journey.
During the celebration, visitors can admire working Lionel trains, including some more than a century old. After the train returns, Santa welcomes guests for cherished photographs, while hot chocolate and cookies provide a warm and delicious finish to the festive adventure.
The Christmas City Express offers families a memorable combination of storytelling, history, crafts, music, and railroad adventure. Guests should arrive early to enjoy the general store activities before the scheduled story and train departure. The event operates in most weather conditions unless icy conditions make rail travel unsafe.
