Milwaukee Bourbon Bottle Experience

Experience a unique side of Milwaukee craft distilling with the Bottle Your Own Experience at Wisconsin's first post prohibition distillery. Designed for guests aged 21 and over, this hands on activity offers an immersive introduction to the final stage of the liquor making process. Instead of simply observing, participants take part in preparing their own bottle to create a memorable keepsake.

The experience focuses on Dirty Helen Barrel Strength Straight Bourbon, a distinctive bourbon aged for more than six years. Guests can fill, cork and label their own bottle before taking it home. Each barrel has its own flavor profile, proof and character, making every bottle slightly different. The handwritten label adds a personal touch and gives the finished bottle an individual identity.

Dirty Helen pays tribute to Milwaukee legend Dirty Helen Cromwell and her colorful connection with the city. The bourbon uses Wisconsin grown grain and the same mash bill as Still and Oak Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Its character features vanilla and corn aromas with flavors of charred oak, roasted malt and sweet corn. The barrel strength release can also add depth and richness to classic bourbon based cocktails.

The bourbon has received recognition at spirits competitions, including a Gold award at the 2020 Whiskey and Barrel Consumer Choice Awards. Visitors can enjoy an experience that combines local history, craftsmanship and hands on participation.
