ZAKYNTHOS Certified Open Water divers can take their abilities further with a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, designed to build confidence and introduce new diving techniques under professional instructor guidance. The program combines diving theory with practical specialty dives.
The course begins with registration and daily theory lessons before students complete two open-water specialty dives on the first day. The training continues with two additional specialty dives on the second day, followed by a final specialty dive on the third day.
Across the dives, participants can practice skills such as navigation, deep diving, buoyancy control, underwater photography, and other specialties. Available activities may include night diving, wreck diving, and fish identification, depending on conditions and availability.
Once the online theory and course requirements are completed, students receive PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification. There is no final exam, with learning focused on practical diving experiences. Participants must be able to swim and hold an Open Water Diver or equivalent certification.
