The elevated setting provides breathtaking views of the surrounding ledge line in two directions, creating a scenic environment for guests who enjoy nature and peaceful outdoor stays. The campsite welcomes both individual campers and groups.
The site can accommodate two to three tents depending on their size and also offers space for several RVs or tents across The Pines Camp A and B area. Guests can stay for one to ten nights. Those traveling with larger groups can reserve both sites to enjoy the entire camping area together.
The Pines is normally accessible for RVs, trailers, vans, cars, and trucks. However, rain can occasionally damage the dirt road leading to the campsite, making four wheel drive necessary. If access becomes impossible, campers may be moved to another suitably accessible campsite.
An important consideration is that cattle may temporarily share the surrounding pasture and access the camping area. Guests who are uncomfortable around cattle or pasture conditions may prefer another campsite. Check in begins at 1 PM and check out is at 11:30 AM. Motorized trail recreation may also require an additional park day use fee.
