Ons Island forms part of the Maritime Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands of Galicia. Visitors can travel by boat from Portonovo and discover protected landscapes, beaches, trails and historic sites across this unique island.
The boat journey takes approximately 40 to 45 minutes before reaching Ons Island. Visitors can explore four circular trails, enjoy iconic beaches and discover viewpoints overlooking the estuary and Atlantic Ocean. The Ons Lighthouse, Romanized Celtic hill forts and historic buildings add to the island experience.
During the off season, accredited National Park guides accompany visitors on guided tours, followed by free time to explore. During peak season, guided tours are not included unless specially requested. Visitor numbers and National Park permits are limited.
Passengers must arrive at the port customer service point at least 30 minutes before departure. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and National Park regulations must be followed. Vehicles and bicycles are not permitted without authorization, and visitors must remain on marked trails.
