The fishing experience changes throughout the year as different salmon species enter the rivers. From May through July, anglers can pursue Chinook or King Salmon. Sockeye or Red Salmon are generally targeted from June through August, while Coho or Silver Salmon become the main focus from August through October. Pink or Humpy Salmon are targeted during July and August in even numbered years.

With fishing these waters since 1986, the experienced guides understand the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers and the seasonal opportunities they offer. The trip is designed around the fishing experience, allowing guests to spend a full day pursuing salmon while enjoying the surrounding Alaskan wilderness. Meeting times vary each day, so guests should check their specific departure details carefully.

Guests should prepare for changing weather by wearing layers and bringing rain gear, warm socks, and waterproof footwear. Food and drinks are also recommended for the eight hour trip, along with a camera for capturing the experience. A valid fishing license is required, and anglers targeting King Salmon from May through July must also have the required King Stamp.
