Wildlife Youth Program
Wildlife Youth at Urimbirra Wildlife Park is a special three hour program for young people aged twelve to seventeen. It offers a hands on introduction to animal care natural history conservation and the daily work involved in looking after wildlife.
Participants arrive before the park opens and help prepare the area for visitors. They take part in special duties focused on maintaining and caring for animals while learning about their health and wellbeing.
The program also explores animal enrichment and natural behaviours. Participants can create enrichment activities that encourage natural instincts while learning how animals have adapted to survive in their environments.
Designed for home schooled high school students the program offers insight into the world of wildlife keeping. A special program tshirt is required for behind the scenes activities and this is a drop and go program.
