Whether you are trying fishing for the first time or already have experience, the tour offers an engaging opportunity to learn traditional hand line fishing techniques while enjoying the coastal surroundings of Holbox.

The fishing grounds are located approximately 2 miles from Mosquito Point, where you will have the opportunity to fish for species such as grouper, red snapper, snook, and white mojarra. No previous fishing experience is required, as professional fishing guides will teach you how to use the traditional lines and bait. The fishing session provides a hands on way to experience a local fishing method while enjoying time on the water with your group.

After fishing, you can keep your catch and enjoy some of it prepared as fresh ceviche during the tour. Water and soft drinks are also available as refreshments while you are on the boat. Hotel pickup from anywhere on Holbox Island is part of the experience, with morning and afternoon departure options available. Exact pickup times are confirmed by email the day before the tour.

The tour lasts approximately four hours, although the duration can vary depending on weather conditions. The morning option departs around 8:00 AM, while the afternoon option departs around 2:00 PM. If weather conditions make the tour unsafe, it may be rescheduled or a full refund may be provided. Children must be at least 4 years old to participate, and pregnant women cannot join the tour. Catch rates can vary because fishing depends on natural conditions, and refunds or rescheduling are not available simply because the catch is low.
