Two person railbikes offer a unique way to explore the scenic Hood River Valley by riding directly along the historic railway. The approximately two and a half hour round trip takes guests through picturesque landscapes with views of Mt Hood, pine forests, orchards, vineyards, and a small waterfall.
The custom built tandem railbikes are equipped with pedal assist motors, making the uphill journey easier and allowing riders to enjoy conversation along the way. A friendly local guide accompanies the group throughout the experience.
After traveling approximately 5.5 miles uphill, guests stop at The Fruit Company for a short factory and historic museum tour. There is also time to visit the gift shop, enjoy refreshments, and take photos before returning downhill to the station.
The experience operates on select days from April through October and runs outdoors in changing weather conditions. Each railbike seats up to two people, with a maximum weight of 250 pounds per rider. Riders must follow the required safety briefing before departure.
