After a morning briefing at the boat, travel toward the whale shark area and prepare for a guided swimming experience. The whale shark encounter is scheduled for approximately 8:40 AM to 11:30 AM, although all timings are approximate and can change according to whale shark behavior, sea conditions, and other natural factors. You do not need to be a strong swimmer, as life jackets are provided and the guide remains nearby during the activity. Guests should inform the guide if they are not confident in the water or need additional assistance.
Following the whale shark experience, continue to Cabo Catoche and enjoy a short break on its pristine beaches. Around 12:15 PM, enjoy a fresh ceviche lunch on board before beginning the return journey toward Holbox at approximately 1:00 PM. The tour is expected to return to Holbox around 4:00 PM depending on weather and sea conditions. Your box lunch includes ceviche, soft drinks, and water, while snorkeling equipment and life jackets are available for the excursion.
Because this is a wildlife experience in open waters, conditions can sometimes become rough and may change quickly. The port will not allow departures when conditions are considered too dangerous, and tours may be postponed when weather prevents safe operation. Whale shark sightings cannot be guaranteed because the animals live freely in their natural habitat, and no refund or rescheduling is offered solely because whale sharks are not spotted.
