Advanced Equine Training Experience With John

Spend three days developing your understanding of horses and riding through an advanced equine training experience led by John, an experienced equine clinician who works with riders and horses across a wide range of disciplines. Designed for participants aged 16 and above, this experience offers an opportunity to learn from an instructor whose work has taken him around the world. His clinics have been presented for riding schools, private organizations, mounted police departments, and major equine events, giving him broad experience working with different riders, horses, and training environments.

John is particularly well known for his work with horses experiencing behavioral issues and for helping performance horses progress to higher levels of performance. His approach focuses on carefully reading horses and presenting information to both horses and riders in a way that is understandable and useful. Through this method, riders can develop a clearer understanding of how training information is communicated and how it can be applied to their chosen riding discipline.

The experience draws on Johns extensive background working with western riders and horses, dressage riders, and riders from other disciplines. He has helped thousands of professional and amateur riders develop more effective training programs suited to their individual riding goals. His lifetime association with horses, combined with extensive travel and study abroad and his experience learning from respected horsemen, has shaped the knowledge and practical perspective he brings to his work with riders.

With a group size of up to 10 participants, this three day experience creates an opportunity to spend focused time learning about effective horse and rider training. Johns experience includes hosting riding camps in Europe with Dr Gary Potter of Texas A and M University, as well as teaching two and three week classes in the United States where students apply their training and knowledge on a cattle ranch. This experience is suited to riders aged 16 and above who want to expand their knowledge, improve their training approach, and gain insight from an experienced clinician.
