Antas Temple and Old Water Mill Offer Two-Site Cultural Experience

A discounted combined ticket gives visitors the opportunity to explore two distinctive cultural attractions in Sardinia: the Roman Temple of Antas and the historic Licheri Old Water Mill. Located approximately 12 kilometres apart, the two sites can be visited on the same day or on separate days, offering flexibility for travelers planning their itinerary.

Set within the scenic Antas Valley, the Roman Temple of Antas stands amid a natural amphitheater surrounded by limestone landscapes. The archaeological site traces a long history stretching from the Nuragic period through Punic and Roman times, with remains revealing the valley’s importance as a sacred location. Visitors can explore the temple freely, with a recommended visit lasting around one hour.

The experience continues at the Old Water Mill in Fluminimaggiore, where an ethnographic museum brings Sardinia’s traditional rural life into focus. Housed inside an eighteenth-century water mill along the Rio Mannu, the museum features exhibition spaces dedicated to farming, shepherding, crafts, and historic grain production. Educational workshops also offer younger visitors opportunities to discover traditional manual skills.

Opening hours vary according to the season at both attractions, while the Old Water Mill remains closed on Mondays.
