Five Day Youth Paddling Adventure Camp
Give children an exciting introduction to paddling and outdoor adventure with this five day introductory course on the Willamette and Clackamas rivers. Designed for kids aged 8 to 12 who are comfortable in the water, the camp offers seven hours of activities each day and combines learning, exploration and fun in a supportive outdoor environment.
Throughout the five day program, participants will experience a variety of water activities including kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding, tubing and whitewater rafting. Each activity provides a different way to enjoy the rivers while helping young participants become more familiar with paddling and outdoor recreation. No previous experience is required.
Three Level 1 themed paddling camps are offered throughout the summer, including Pirates Ahoy, Survival Crafts and White Water Academy I. Each theme provides an engaging setting for children to discover new activities, spend time outdoors and develop confidence around different paddling experiences.
The camp takes place at 1701 Clackamette Drive in Oregon City and is designed specifically for children who are comfortable in the water. Participants should come prepared for a full day outdoors with water, lunch, snacks, sunscreen, a towel and clothing that can get wet. A change of clothes is also recommended for after the activities.
