We are just home from a quick trip to Brussels, where we were visiting our son who is now working there. It was our first trip to Brussels so we booked the Groovy Tour bike trip to get a sense of the city. We absolutely loved it!! Robin our guide was absolutely amazing! He was so informed on all aspects of Belgium; the history, politics, culture, and lifestyle of the people. He was so interesting and engaging and also lots of fun! - everyone on the tour so enjoyed it! It was certainly the highlight of our trip and I would definitely highly recommend Groovy Tours! Thanks Robin and best wishes in the future!

We went on a tour with Kobus (?) our guide and a few other couples. Overall, this was a great way to see a lot of Brussels. Unfortunately, it wasn't the nicest day out which I think detracted some from the tour. Definitely try to do it on a nice day if you can. I liked how they kept it to a relatively small number of people on the tour. The tour starts in the Grand Place then you walk to the central station and pick up the bikes. It really is quite extensive and you see many of the famous big buildings in Brussels (Justice, EU headquarters, royal palaces, etc.) as well as go through some of the nice city parks. Kobus was very knowledgeable, friendly and easy-going, and he told us all about the places we were visiting. Just past halfway through you stop to get fries and a drink, and to use the bathroom. This is definitely an urban tour through a big busy city. I likely would not recommend it for someone who is not comfortable on a bicycle or for younger children. I always felt safe and fine, but we had to maneuver a little here and to avoid traffic and people quite a few times. Quick idea: It would have been neat to get a sheet of paper with a map of the city that shows all the places we went and the route we took (just a suggestion).

Our guide was a well informed and personable college student that made the ride a true pleasure. Nothing too physically taxing on the bike, and our guide's historical knowledge was enlightening and often entertaining at every stop.
