North American Black Bear Encounter
The North American Black Bear Encounter offers an intimate wildlife experience with Razz and Shirley, two North American black bears. The encounter lasts approximately 15 to 20 minutes and is designed for guests aged 12 and older.
Guests can meet the animal care staff, help feed the bears, and observe parts of their training program. Participants can also speak with a keeper and learn more about bear care, behavior, and training techniques.
Each time slot allows a maximum of two guests, creating a more personal experience. Feeding supplies are covered in the encounter price, while guests must also purchase walk through admission separately.
Animal participation is always voluntary, so the bears may not always be active or ready for interaction. If the bears choose not to participate, the animal care team will still provide an educational experience. Guests should check in at the gift shop upon arrival.
