A seven hour climbing clinic is creating a supportive and welcoming environment for BIPOC and PGM climbers aged sixteen and above. The experience is designed for participants at different skill levels, from newcomers discovering outdoor climbing to experienced climbers looking to refine their technique and strengthen their confidence on the rock.
The day is shaped around the goals, experience and interests of the group. Instruction may cover climbing movement, belaying, communication and technical systems, giving participants the opportunity to develop practical skills through hands-on learning. Individualized coaching helps climbers receive guidance suited to their current abilities.
Plenty of climbing time is built into the experience, allowing participants to practice new techniques while challenging themselves in a positive setting. Small guided groups encourage personalized attention and create opportunities for shared learning, community building and progression. Participants may also have the opportunity to try new climbing equipment.
The experience begins at Ledge Brewing Company at eight in the morning with check-in and gear fitting before departing for the crags around North Conway. Participants should be prepared for steep, rocky and potentially slippery terrain when reaching the climbing area. Guests are encouraged to communicate any accommodation needs in advance.
