The adventure begins at the meeting point before guests select warm overalls and boots and transfer to the snowmobile garage. After receiving safety instructions and helmets participants complete a test drive around a practice track before setting out. The tour covers approximately 15 to 30 kilometers with stops along the way for information safety checks and temperature checks.
During the journey participants can alternate drivers when sharing a snowmobile. Children under 13 travel in a sled pulled by the guide while children under 5 must have an adult seated with them in the sled. After exploring the snowy landscapes guests stop at a traditional kata where lunch is prepared over an open fire providing a warm and relaxing break.
The experience is suitable for participants from 3 years old while drivers must be at least 18 and hold a valid car driving license. No previous snowmobile driving experience is required. Guests should meet at Torggatan 4 in Kiruna with standard snowmobile check in taking place 30 minutes before the official start time. The activity is weather dependent and changes may be made for safety during severe weather or temperatures of minus 35 degrees Celsius and below.
