Glass Powder Workshop Brings Precision And Color To Fused Art
Glass artists can explore the detailed possibilities of powdered glass during a two hour intermediate workshop focused on stencil techniques. The class introduces participants to methods for transforming delicate glass powder into precise designs, opening creative possibilities that are difficult to achieve with traditional sheet glass.
Participants learn how to evaluate suitable stencils, apply glass powder with greater control and build detailed patterns through careful layering. By combining different colors and designs, artists can create subtle gradients and intricate imagery while developing techniques that add greater depth and character to fused glass artwork.
The workshop is intended for participants with previous experience in fused glass. An Intro to Fused Glass class or equivalent experience is required. Because glass powder is used during the session, a properly fitted mask is mandatory, with participants able to bring their own or use one provided by the studio.
Artwork is fired in a kiln after the workshop and may take approximately three to seven days to complete. Shipping is available for travelers at an additional cost. Participants must wear closed toe shoes, while the listed price does not include the booking fee.
