Family Water Adventure Combines Canoeing, Paddleboarding and Fun
Families and groups can take on a safe, challenging and entertaining water adventure designed for participants aged seven and above. The session combines teamwork, practical paddling skills and plenty of playful challenges for an energetic outdoor experience.
Participants are provided with buoyancy aids, helmets and paddles before working together to move the equipment to the water’s edge. Canadian canoes are rafted together to create a stable catamaran, allowing beginners to get onto the water comfortably while learning how to manoeuvre their craft.
Once the basic skills are mastered, the fun intensifies with games, challenges and races. Giant stand-up paddleboards add another lively element, with teamwork and balance put to the test. Getting wet is more likely during the paddleboard session, but the possibility of falling into the water is considered part of the experience.
Safety equipment, waterproofs, insurance and professional instruction are included. Guests should bring a full change of clothes and a towel because clothing will get wet, while secure closed-toe footwear is required on the water. Changing facilities are available onsite, and participants should arrive a few minutes early at the slipway gate at Ponden Reservoir, not at High Adventure.
