First Splash Intro to Paddling is a two hour beginner course for anyone aged 16 and above who has never tried sea kayaking or wants a simple refresher. The relaxed class gives participants time to become comfortable with kayaking, equipment, and being on the water.
Participants are introduced to basic paddling skills and learn how to enter a kayak safely. The course covers essential equipment, paddle strokes, cold water safety, and communication while on the water. There is no requirement to capsize or practice re entry during this session.
