Absolutely wonderful tour! Everything I’d hoped for and more. Our guide Amandine was charming, extremely knowledgeable and an excellent driver. The van was large, clean and new. She arrived on time, kept the group on schedule and got us home exactly on time. She carried a bespoke binder of maps that she regularly referenced as visual aids to help us really grasp what happened and where. And the trainee, Axelle, was a fun addition and added a lot to the experience, as well. The owners made the booking easy and were very responsive. I 100% recommend Gold Beach Company.

We (four long time college friends) had an absolutely wonderful half day tour with Eric, our knowledgeable and personable tour guide. I had visited the sites a few times before but never had a guide which I see now was a mistake. His extensive knowledge of the WW Ii as well as post war France was impressive. We ended the day feeling inspired, more knowledgeable and above all grateful for all who served their country.
Our family of four (2 adults and 2 kids, aged 12 and 14) visited Normandy in late June 2025. Prior to our visit, I corresponded with Vincent at Gold Beach Company. He was knowledgeable and so very helpful, even suggesting that we change the city in which we were planning to stay in order to be closer to the attractions we were hoping to see. We were set up with Stephen, who had only been with the company for a short time, for two days of tours at different locations in Normandy. Stephen was absolutely wonderful. He arrived on time and sought to keep us comfortable in the heat wave that was starting to push into the region. He was friendly and so knowledgeable about the region. It was clear Stephen was very well-researched and organized. He clearly loves his country and sharing it with visitors. The first day, he took us to Mont St. Michel. Wow - he taught us so much during our tour! He showed us details we surely would have missed if he had not been our guide. Our visit to this World Heritage Site was made so much more memorable because of Stephen’s guidance and enthusiasm. At the end of this excellent tour, we asked to be dropped off at the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach. Again, Stephen’s thoughtfulness shone through. He got us to the cemetery at the perfect time to catch the very meaningful TAPS ceremony that occurs at 4 pm to lower the American flags. I am so grateful to Stephen for getting us there and telling us where we needed to go as it was the most deeply moving experience of our entire trip. One the second day, Stephen collected us again in the very nice Gold Beach Company vehicle that is similar to a minivan. We brought our luggage as we were going to be catching a train to Paris afterwards. Stephen drove us to Giverny. He walked us to the correct line with the tickets that the company had already arranged for us. He explained that Giverny does not allow tour guides, which made sense with the volume of people and tight spaces. Later, he was exactly where he said he would be to meet him. Then, he drove us to the train station and said, “Au revoir!” I really cannot recommend this tour company highly enough. The individuals at this company are kind and thoughtful with a passion for sharing their beautiful home with visitors. Written communication with the business was excellent and efficient. Our guide, Stephen, spoke fluent, easy-to-understand English. Hiring Gold Beach Company was one of the best decisions I made for our trip to France because they took all the guesswork out of navigating a foreign country and language.
