Inspired by the Green Book, the tour highlights the networks that helped Black travelers move through the city with greater security and dignity. Guests will discover the importance of Black owned businesses, private homes, and church communities that opened their doors and created spaces where travelers could find welcome and support.
Beyond the guidebook listings, the experience brings attention to the people behind these places and their individual stories. The walk explores quiet acts of resistance, meaningful community connections, and the ways these spaces contributed to civil rights organizing, while also considering how many of them disappeared after 1964.
