Wild Women Paddles in Bellingham
Wild Women Paddles offers weekly guided sea kayaking sessions designed to bring women together on Bellingham Bay. The program welcomes both beginners and experienced paddlers, creating a friendly environment for learning, socializing, and enjoying outdoor recreation on the water.
The sessions are offered in partnership with Shifting Gears, a local organization focused on empowering women through outdoor recreation and education. Participants can build paddling skills, meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts, and enjoy time on the bay with a supportive community.
No previous paddling experience is required, making the program suitable for those trying sea kayaking for the first time. Participants should be prepared to spend most of the session on the water. The program is also an LGBTQ+ safe space focused on belonging and community.
Registration opens one week before each paddle, with the next session becoming available on Wednesday at 5:30pm. Tiered pricing allows participants to choose an option that suits their needs. Scholarship support is also available for those who need assistance with participation costs.
