National Museum is one of my favorite places to visit. It is an historic building with over 100 years of history yet it has been restored and upkept so well. The architecture, layout are all kept in great condition and it was an enjoyable, breezy, leisure visit. The exhibitions changes time to time and the current Odessy is very impressive though a little short. But the Singapore history exhibition is very informative and interactive with so many snippets of information. No stone was left unturned - not only did they show the good and bright side of Singapore, it also showed the dark and sad side of our history. Definitely worth a visit for tourist and Singaporeans alike

The museum was fantastic visually and full of information and history of Singapore. We spent about two hours roaming around and came away with a much deeper appreciation of how Singapore has evolved. The building itself is stunning — the mix of heritage architecture and modern presentation really brings the story to life. Singapore Odyssea completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment I entered the Glass Rotunda, I was transported into a visually stunning world of light, sound, and storytelling. The interactive elements — adopting a digital avatar and watching the scenes respond as you walk — made the experience feel so personal and alive. It’s such a creative and modern way to learn about Singapore’s 700-year journey, blending art, history, and technology seamlessly. Perfect for all ages — kids and adults alike will be captivated. Highly recommend setting aside at least an hour to soak it all in. The museum staff were friendly and helpful, and the whole experience felt world-class. Truly a must-visit exhibition that brings Singapore’s story to life in the most magical way!

One of my favourite museums to visit when in Singapore. They always have great exhibitions happening. They are currently renovating the second floor so those galleries are not currently open unfortunately (September 2025). But it is still worth the visit. There are self serve ticketing kiosks which are very convenient, but also a traditional reception booth if you want to speak to someone.

The National Museum of Singapore is such a well-curated place to learn about the country’s rich history and culture. The exhibitions are beautifully organized, with clear storytelling and stunning visuals that make the experience both educational and enjoyable. I especially loved how the displays combine traditional artifacts with modern multimedia and interactive graphics — it kept everything engaging and easy to follow. Walking through the museum felt meaningful, almost like taking a journey back in time, and it brought out a sense of pride and appreciation for Singapore’s heritage. A visit here is not only informative but also inspiring, making it a must-see for locals and tourists alike!

The National Museum of Singapore is a beautiful blend of history and modern storytelling. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, covering everything from Singapore’s cultural roots to its journey as a modern nation. The use of multimedia, interactive displays, and immersive galleries makes the experience engaging for both adults and kids. The building itself is stunning, with its mix of colonial architecture and contemporary design. It’s a great place to spend a few hours learning, reflecting, and appreciating the country’s rich heritage. Definitely worth a visit for both locals and tourists.
