Step into the heart of Évora, a city where time seems to slow down and every corner reveals a story from centuries past. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a living museum of Portuguese history, culture, and tradition nestled in the Alentejo region. Begin your exploration at Praça do Giraldo, the city’s vibrant central square, surrounded by elegant arcades and historic facades. Meander through its narrow cobbled streets and find yourself face-to-face with architectural treasures like the majestic Évora Cathedral. Climb its ancient tower for breathtaking views over the city rooftops and the sweeping plains beyond, capturing the serene beauty of Alentejo.

As you delve deeper, encounter Évora’s more mysterious and contemplative side at the Chapel of Bones, a somber yet striking reminder of life’s impermanence. Just a short walk away, marvel at the Roman Temple of Diana, remarkably preserved since the 1st century, standing as a testament to Évora’s rich Roman heritage. Stroll beneath the arches of the Água de Prata Aqueduct, a remarkable feat of Renaissance engineering that weaves through the town. End your visit with a sensory journey through Alentejo’s culinary delights—savor traditional dishes like migas and lamb stew, enjoy local cheeses, and sip on the region’s renowned wines, each glass capturing the essence of this timeless land. In Évora, history and hospitality come together for an unforgettable experience.

Joao was amazing for the private walking tour in Evora! Incredibly knowledgeable about all things Evora and Portugal. He provided tons of great knowledge about the history, art and architecture. My wife and I had a fantastic time and it was a very relaxing stroll. Definitely worth the visit on our honeymoon!

This was a wonderful unexpected gem of our trip to Portugal. We saw a lovely pottery shop/factory, amazing views from the castle at Monsaraz, and a great wine tasting. Our guide answered all of our questions, including indulging our curiosity even about off topic questions about Portuguese society. Would highly recommend!

We took Monsaraz tour and it was amazing. Our guide Martin was very professional and explained about the history of the town, pottery atelier on the road was really nice with very reasonable prices. On the road we learnt a lot about cork trees. And the wine tasting is so great we had to chance to try so many different Alentejo wines at the end I was almost tipsy! The best part is that we were the only ones in the tour so it was like a private tour, overall perfect experience!

We took the Megalithics tour, it's been the best tour I've ever had! Cromlech of Almendres is a breathtaking view, as well as the magnificent Dolmen of Zambujal. Joao, our guide, has the excellent knowledge about the visited places and shares it gladly in the most engaging way. He also showed us the beautiful cork forest and explained in details how it's cultivated. In addition we visited the interesting "Neolithic" village where the archaeologist aims to recreate the Neolithic way of life - with houses, tools and art. If you are interested in archaeology or if you simply like the beautiful views, you cannot miss this trip. Last but not least - you are travelling very comfortable in a van, so it's not very challenging.
