Your tour begins and ends in Brașov and takes you along the famous Transfăgărășan Road, open from July 1 to October 31. After a scenic two-hour drive to Bâlea Lake, you will begin a guided hike to Capra Lake, with the possibility—weather permitting—of continuing to Vânătoarea lui Buteanu Peak at 2,507 meters. Alternatively, a relaxed walk around the lake may be chosen. The total hike takes approximately 4 to 5 hours. After the trek, you’ll have the option to enjoy a meal at the Bâlea Lake Hotel. Outside the summer season, from November to June, the hike follows a different route in the Făgăraș Mountains through the picturesque Valea Sâmbetei area.
