Dinu, our guide, is a gentle soul and the best guide ever! Over the course of 3 days, he showed us the highlights of Transylvania: the magnificent Peles castle, the Bran castle, the colourful village of Viscri, King Charles' estate, the fortress of Sighisoara and Sibiu, the city with eye-shaped windows and its Astra Open Air Museum with traditional country houses. We have really appreciated his entertaining explanations of the historical figures who have inhabited each place - his stories brought the wise German King Carol I and the beautiful Princess Ileana to life. Our roadtrip with Dinu on the Transfăgărășan Highway enabled us to take in gorgeous views of the snow-capped Carpathian mountains as well as golden autumn leaves in the forests. We also got to discover the fancy Poiana Brasov ski resort on our way. At the intersection of Latin, Saxon, Ottoman and Eastern Orthodox cultures, Romania is one of the most interesting and beautiful countries that I have been to. We would never have been able to see so much within such a short time without Dinu's guidance. He really made sure that we felt comfortable throughout our journey and painstakingly made sure that we covered all of the main sights. Thank you, Dinu, for helping us discover Romania, and for pushing us to climb up all those churches, fortresses and towers! It was so worth it to go on a trip with you!

We spent three fantastic days with our guide, Dinu, who was absolutely amazing. On the first day, we embarked on a castles tour, followed by a trip to Sighișoara and Viscri on the second day. We concluded our tour with visits to Sibiu and the Astra Open Air Museum on the final day. Dinu's extensive knowledge provided us with deep insights into Romanian history and culture. His thoughtful preparation was also evident; he even carried umbrellas and gloves in his car for our convenience. Furthermore, his restaurant recommendations were all excellent.

We spent two wonderful days in Transylvania with Ramona. One day we explored nature and enjoyed breathtaking views, and the next day we had a fascinating trip visiting the castles of Transylvania. Ramona is also a great storyteller, and we learned so much about the history of Romania from her. Highly recommended! 🌿🏰

We used this company for a private day trip to visit the medieval town of Sighisoara and Saxon village of Viscri. Communication prior to the tour was great and Dinu was an excellent guide. He was really knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the history. Both places were beautiful and he made a good recommendation for lunch too. We really enjoyed his company and the places he showed us. We learned a lot about Romanian life too and shared a love of dogs! Would highly recommend :-)

We had a fantastic tour with Ramona. She adapted the day to suit us. First she picked us up from our hotel and took us to the bear sanctuary which was definitely worth a visit. Next Ramona took us to a village in the mountains. This seemed a million miles from touristy Bran. The scenery was spectacular and so peaceful. We went on a walk through the foothills of the Carpathians along forest tracks and quiet country lanes. We stopped at intervals to take in the vast views and to fully appreciate our surroundings. At one stop Ramona explained the history of Romania and this area. On the way back we stopped in the gardens of Bran Castle to have lunch and admire the castle where we learnt the true story of how the castle relates to Dracula. I heartily recommend taking a similar trip - I felt we could not have experienced natural Romania in a better way.
